Terrorism threat highest since 9/11...so what?

The terrorist threat is the highest it's been since 9/11 according to recent news reports.

Below is a list of stereotypical responses one might expect from the political moguls filling recent headlines.  Feel free to add more expected responses in the comments if satire is a coping mechanism for you as well.

Barak Obama:
"No worries, I've got this. ISIS is just a JV team, and besides, we're friends... family even. When I gave away the farm during that last nuclear treaty and then when I let all that highly classified info leak to China, Russia, and who knows who else, we became blood brothers till death (ahem) separates us. Fore! [swings golf club]"

Bernie Sanders:
 "I know what we'll do....we'll tax those who work for a living 99% and use that money to appease ISIS by giving them lots of free stuff."

Hillary:
"What difference does it make?"

Trump:
"We will build a wall that not even ISIS can cross, and Mexico will pay for it...stop asking me how... #@!*&...I said so, that's how. And we'll ban Muslims in the US!  Don't forget that I funded my own campaign btw....(murmuring to himself and snickering because he knows the media paid for his campaign as he played them like a pawn to get all the cover pages he wanted)

Compare those quotes above to how a God fearing and humble Christian might respond.  True followers of Christ would probably run to the Lord for encouragement, build their trust in Him, and pray Scriptures such as:

"Some trust in chariots and some in horses, but we trust in the name of the Lord our God." (Psalm 20:7)

"Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and do not lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make straight your paths." (Proverbs 3:5-6)

"O my God, in you I trust; let me not be put to shame; let not my enemies exult over me." (Psalm 25:2)

Some are choosing to enslave themselves to socialist leaning rulers who want to control their lives, make decisions for them, and give them free handouts. But those who have made themselves bond-servants to Christ instead of slaves to corrupt tyrants can still walk in hope because their trust is not in earthly things or human powers but in the Lord God Almighty.  Those who mock the Lord will face a sure and certain judgement. But no matter what happens, believers must continue to pray and rest in God's sovereignty.  The beauty of finding abundant joy in Christ is that the joy is everlasting, unhindered by external circumstances, anchored in the one true God who never changes.  We will hope in Him alone!
