Foolproof Way to Establish and Confirm Consent

Why is it that despite living in such a technologically advanced information age with every answer to every question at our fingertips or in Siri's database, we now struggle as a society with the simplest of questions, such as which bathroom to use or if ripping a child's limbs off and then sucking the child's brains from the womb is murder.  Now the media is abuzz with confusion over what constitutes "consent" when determining guilt in rape trials.  So let me spell this out as simply as possible for anyone who ever wonders if he has my daughter's consent just as I clarified it for everyone I dated and just as generations before us have known as far back as the beginning of time. If she has not pledged her life to you through an official marriage covenant, you do not have her consent or God's!

Regardless of what she wears, how she acts, or whatever substances may be clouding her thinking or rendering her completely unconscious as in the Stanford rape case charging Brock Allen Turner, nothing or no one shall ever give you permission to assault her!  You should always respect and protect her.  That's what real men do. Real men have integrity and self-control. Shut up with all those lame excuses or pleadings that insist you cannot help yourself. You are not a wild animal driven only by instinct. God made you a man in his own image with a heart that can feel, a mind that can think, and a soul that can choose what is good and right. If you refuse to control yourself by feeding only your own carnal selfish desires instead of caring for others, then go live in a field, grazing on grass and hay like the ass you've become.

Christ bought each of us at the greatest price. Our bodies are not our own to abuse or throw away. (1 Corinthians 6:20) They are gifts for our greater good, divine purposes, fulfillment, and His glory. If you are not willing to love her unconditionally and faithfully for the rest of your life, laying down your life for her, as Christ loves the church, (Ephesians 5:25), then you don't deserve her.

What a pity that so few in this regressive age ever get to experience the ultimate oneness, fulfillment, and ecstasy that can only be found in a lifelong covenant between one man and one woman where physical, spiritual, and emotional oneness are joined together into the greatest intimacy. Those who choose to separate the physical from the spiritual and emotional,  to trade a lifetime of joy and contentment for a moment of fleeting pleasure now, and/or to cheapen, pervert, substitute, or steal what God created for our good and His glory will never be satisfied. Instead of enjoying the ultimate warmth, comfort, security, and satisfaction of a cozy fire in the fireplace on a cool night with the one you love deeply on all levels, you have moved the fire out of the safe boundaries of the fireplace and placed it in the center of the house where the flames of insatiable lusts burn the entire house down.

This ludicrous notion that man is no better than a wild animal originated with Darwinian theory, which is taught as fact in public schools.  This theory has been used to skew thinking and justify all sorts of immoral behavior, and is the root of so many forms of racism and injustice.  It absolutely boggles my mind that people owe more allegiance to political correctness than to truth and justice.

Why aren't people willing to admit that so many of the world's problems (disease, poverty, rape, violence, other crimes, psychological struggles, crisis pregnancy, etc.) and most of the issues that divide us as a nation could be dramatically reduced or alleviated completely if we would simply treat each other and ourselves as sacred human beings, not beasts of burden. When we understand who we are, our value in Christ both as a priceless treasure and utterly fallen and unable to save ourselves, completely dependent upon Christ's work on the cross to atone for our own sins, and recognize our perfect purpose in life, following His wise and basic Biblical principles like this one become our delight for they are for our good, and when we rely on Him, He gives us the strength. The entire fabric of society would be fortified if people were disciplined enough to practice simple self-control.

How ironic that when Adam and Eve ate from the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, mankind began trying to redefine right and wrong as if they had some greater wisdom than the infinite, omnisicient, perfectly holy and loving creator of all things. Choosing our own way instead of following our loving Father's way will always make life way more complicated and painful. But there is hope, forgiveness, and marvelous grace for those who come to Him with genuinely repentant hearts. He promises to make all things new and to restore what the locusts have eaten.
